El Tigre River

Located near the beautiful barrio of San Telmo...

El Tigre was one of my favorite excursions so far. We arrived at the port of Tigre, and immediately went aboard a long boat with a blue cover and sat on benches surrounding the center. There were some windows but mostly the boat was completely open, which was not too good when it started to rain. We began our tour on the main river, which is the Parana Delta, and traveled along the interconnecting streams and rivers. At first the river was pretty wide and it looked like this:

But then as the river narrowed and we continued, there was beautiful greenery and nature, and this is where all of the houses were located.  Each house has it's own boat launch that extends out into the river. Most have a seating area with a cover, in which we saw many families sitting at and talking, drinking, eating, lounging, and playing with their dogs or their children. They looked extremely relaxed and seemed like they were having a great time. I know I would be if I were there! This was my favorite house because it was very big and had a huge property.  When I have enough money, I will buy this house. Hopefully.
I loved El Tigre the most because I could see myself bringing my family here for vacation when I am older.  Also I could see me and my friends or my family having a great summer vacation here as well. Maybe it will be our next vacation destination! I was very sad when we got home, and I looked like this:

But, I became happy very quickly because we decided we might visit El Tigre again for our free weekend!
